bluetooth between other phones

Hi I have bought the bb tour 9630 smartphone. When I try to get anything from my wifes phone we can't. She has the samsung rant, it tells her no device found but we can pair up so I'm real confused. What is th problem?

I have had the same problem with few BlackBerry phones. After a lot of digging I found out that it was due to the nature of Bluetooth coding (similar problems are found in Samsung phones and Apple iPhone), RIM only guarantees file transfers between BlackBerry devices. Anything else is a "it might work" status. On some phones like the BlackBerry Curve 8300, when someone is connected to you via Bluetooth, in order to accept a media file you need to go to the specific media folder (Music, Pictures, and so on..) click Menu, find the option Receive via Bluetooth and the file transfer dialog should appear and the upload will start. I have not tried this on the BlackBerry Tour, but it MIGHT work or NOT.
