UPDATE v0.3:

• Highlight changed to a more visible blue one to go with the buttons, the gray/black/light white just did not do the job (Suggested by rorosz)
  
• The application name appears as status text when on home screen (Suggested by rorosz)
  
• The folder where installed apps are put by default is Downloads (Suggested by rorosz)
  
• Also you can control how you email/sms/mms messages are shown there are icons for all
  
• Shaved a bit more from the size of the theme

We will be releasing the NewAge free BlackBerry Bold 9000 theme soon, but before we do that we need someone to test drive the theme. It features a hidden dock with four customizable icons, you can set your own backgrounds that don't affect the theme layout and it has a whole new custom icon set created especially for this theme. Here is how it looks like:









To get the OTA or desktop install for this theme and be included in the test drive, please post a reply on this thread. Also all comments and ideas on how to make this theme batter should be posted here. Please note that this theme beta test drive is only available for BlackBerry Bold 9000 smartphone users.

You can count on my feedback.For starters, the icon set looks AMAZING! but it would be cool to have additional icons for different common apps, like for games, social networks and such. I could be more specific once i get a chance to test drive the theme. Could you send me an OTA link?

After playing around with the theme for about an hour, I have some concrete things to say. One thing I did like is the hidden dock, but navigating it takes a little getting used to, maybe if rolling up/down made the dock appear/disappear and rolling left/right selected the different icons. I did find the dark roll-over hard to see for some of my icons. I would like to see the application names when rolling over in the dock. I like how there are application, games, downloads and setup folders but, It would be really nice (and this would fall in the personal request side of things) if there were styled folder icons. I mean having some visual cue as to the contents of the different folders so I can identify which one I want more quickly. Also I keep multiple email accounts on my blackberry so having an icon for an email accounts folder would be great. Great JOB so far!!!

We will take all your suggestions and try to do our best. The only thing that is not possible due to the limitations of the Plazmic CDK is the custom icons for each folder for downloads, apps, games and setup. The only options offered for now are two:

• Use the original BlackBerry icons, which do not go so well with the rest of the icon pack
  
• Have the same styled default folder icon for all of these folders

As soon as it is possible we will update the icons with the new styled ones which we already have 10x to our theme designer.

All users who requested to participate in the beta test drive have been sent links. Meanwhile there have been some updates to the theme. It now includes a black fiber wall as default and all of the dialog icons have been changed to fit the new icon pack. Also an error was found in the icons, a small white transparent highlight was appearing on the top of each icon. So we sent the icon pack to be reworked by the designer. As soon as he sends us the updated icons we will post the updates to the download links you received via PM. Also we managed to slim down the theme from 1.9 MB to 0.9 MB with some optimizations which will make it run even faster on your Bold smartphone.
